Can't believe that I don't need to go to school for a whole week! I love holidays!

I've been celebrating my freedom by playing the guitar for about two and a half hours - my fingers are litterally bleeding! x) Don't care though, I love playing the guitar and I take every opportunity to become better :D

I guess I better head for the gym soon since I havn't been there since last week on Friday... I don't really know why I keep going there 'cus I don't know if I like it or not x) But well, at least it feels really good when you're done.

Hope you all have been invited to lots of Halloween partys by now! I'm sitting here, trying to come up with some cool costums but it's not working that well x) I'm thinking about dressing out as a goth bride, that would be so cool! I have some black wedding stuff that would be awesome to wear! x)

I can't believe I'm finally going to see Within Temptation live!
It's insane - nothing but insane! xD It's gonna be EPIC!

This is an old live preformance by them,  but even though Within Temptation has evolved both in their music and their style since this preformance, this is one of the live preformances I love most! And the song is also one of my favorites - I'd die to see them preform it tomorrow! x) I love Sharon's voice in this song and I can't believe she's able to sing it so well live! She's incredible x)

within temptation

I'm sitting here trying to find a train or bus that'll work on Wednesday when we're going to see Within Temptation! It seems as though we'll be able to get home not until the morning after x) But I don't really care - I might even miss some school haha! xD

However, I'm so looking forward to this concert! I have been listening to Within Temptation since I was 13 or 14 and I've been in love with their music ever since I heard one of their most famous songs - Frozen. 

Within Temptation is a Symphonic Metal band that is led by the vocalist Sharon Den Adel - one of the coolest women I know. She's a mezzo soprano who has given her life to sing metal and rock and her voice is both powerful at the same time as it's fragile - the combination with the music is just amazing...

what I'm listening to right now

I would seriously die to se In This Moment live and I hate that I'm stuck here in Sweden while they're in the US. It sucks! D: But I'll never stop hoping I'll be able see them one day - it'd be a dream coming true.

  In This Moment is with no doubt one of the best metal/rock bands ever!! They're by far my favorite band!! ♥  Maria Brink sings and screams like no one I've ever heard and their songs are both emotional, beautiful and heavy!

Since I wrote about Her Bright Skies and the night I saw them live I thought I'd post a video by them! This is their song "Sing it" and the band recorded the video during one of their tours - I love both the song and the video! ;)

School and that stuff

Hi there my lovely blog, that no one reads - what's up? :D

I just got home from town after a day of boring school and it's so nice to be home, listening to music and just taking it easy for a while ;)

Anyhow, after school I did some shopping... This really means I go to stores and look at all the stuff I want to have (and laugh at all the ugly stuff that some stupid poeple actually buy) and end up leaving the store without buying anything at all ;) Well, I do buy some stuff, but since I like the kind of clothes most people find strange, I have a hard time finding stuff that I really like x) And since I don't understand fashion at all I simply wear what I consider nice and well, I don't give a damn what other people might say about it x) That's me, haha!

I bought this ring today and I think it's really cool. Love it and I'm very pleased x) I really love rings but since I prefer metal and rock jewelry I don't find that many that matches my style, but this one's just perfect.

It's getting late and since I have a driving lesson tomorrow morning I'm trying to convince myself that I need to get some sleep ;) Doesn't work that well, but I guess I have to go now. I'll dream about my guitar and the fact that I'll be able to turn the amplifyer on and start playing as soon as I get home tomorrow x) Sweet dreams indeed.

Watch out! Upcoming concert!

I guess you can say I'm addicted to concerts... I haven't been to that many at all but I still love the atmosphere, the people and the music - of course. That's why I'm going to see both Within Temptation and In Flames this fall! x)

In Flames is a Swedish metal band that are going to preform here is Sweden, Gothenburg, the 19th of November this year! And I'M going to be there! xD

They are three other bands that are following In Flames as they're touring with their new album "Sounds of a Playground Fading" and I'm dying to see (almost) all of them. Ghost, Rise To Remain, Insense and Trivium are the bands that will join them, and well - this can only turn out epic!

A night to remember - Dead By April

Last Saturday was a night I will remember for the rest of my life - that was the evening I saw Dead By April live for the first time.

The evening bagan with preformances by Marissa Burns Trey and... Her Bright Skies! x)

 Soundsheck with Her Bright Skies! Totally awesome to watch, the guys are insane x)

 Then they finally bagan to play and OH MY GOD! xD

 I'll never forget the way "Jaybee" (the singer) acts on stage! He's totally crazy! :D Their preformance was awesome! And later, as I saw Jaybee standing outside the club, I just couldn't stop myself from shouting "DAMN you're awesome!!" Can't believe I actually did that x) But he seemed to enjoy my moment of madness, gave me a smile, raised the bottle he was holding and shouted "yo thanks!"
That was cool x)

And then... DEAD BY APRIL!! xD I worship them!

They're seiously awesome live, despite the fact that they don't jump around that much, let's put the blame on the small sage x) But Jimmie Strimell, one of the two singers, sings and screams just as good live as he does in the studio, so everything was perfect anyhow! He's with no doubts the person I look up to most from Dead By April x) He rules. This is him by the way! I love his style and tattoos x)

I think it was his screaming that gave me a smaller hearing damage for a while and a high tone ringing in my head for about five days x) But I'm ok now and it was totally worth it, haha! ;)

The guitarist is called Pontus and he used to sing in the band before, together with Jimmie, but now days he only joins the band on sertain occasions and only as a guitarist :)

An unforgettable night!

I find Dead By April a very special band. They play metal but are influenced by both pop and techno and they're doing their own thing all the way! And since Jimmie screams increadibly good I can only say that if you have the time, GO LISTEN TO THEM! You won't be dissapointed x)

If you'd ask me, I'd say that there are WAY to few women singing metal and hardcore - That's why I want to put this awesome video on my blog x)

The band behind this somg is called In This Moment - an American screamo/metal band fronted by a tattooed, übercool woman named Maria Brink. She's nothing but awesome and I assure you; when it comes to screaming there are a lot of male singers that could learn a great deal by watching her. She's supernatural - trust me x)

And I couldn't possibly be more happy about it - a week from now I will finally be standing on the first row singing, or rather, screaming along to their songs!

I've been listening to Within Temptation for about as long as I can remember, or well, five years or so, but its still a really big event in my life to finally getting to see them live. Can't wait! And for those of you who have never even heard of WT, I am going to share one of their best songs with you. Hope you'll like it as much as I do. x)
